Pres. Duterte to Use Drone Technology in Monitoring the P8-Trillion Infrastructure Projects

The very first President from Mindanao, Pres. Rody Duterte will use and deploy drone technology to monitor his P8-trillion infrastructure projects. With the deployment of drone, Pres. Duterte's infra projects building new roads, bridges and terminals will be fast and corruption-free.

Using drone will greatly help the Duterte administration according to an announcement released to the media by the Department of Finance.

The Finance Department also noted that aside from drone monitoring, the Duterte admin will also put up a website so that the public can track the progress of the infrastructure projects.

There will be other measures to ensure fast and efficient building of infra projects, it includes mandating 24-hour work on projects whenever possible, assigning some big-ticket items to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and breaking up major projects into small portions.

In a statement released to the media, Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez was quoted as saying "So this will be open to he public and available to anyone who's interested, both, as I said, drone pictures, drone images, as well as financial contract information. So this is going to be done in that fashion," Dominguez stated.

The Duterte admin would avoid tapping private sector funding when the government would be better off building the structure by itself.

Pres. Rody Duterte earlier approved an initial list of 18 projects worth P427 billion with his plans to bring Philippine infrastructure to the "golden age."
