The Philippines teaching communities particularly those who are working with various government-owned institutions are expected to receive bonuses ranging from P34,000 to P64,000 which will be given before Christmas.

More than 720,000 public school teachers will be celebrating a merrier Christmas under the Duterte administration as they could get double blessings compared to what they got during the previous year.
The Teachers' Dignity Coalition noted that by year-end all public school teachers will be thankful to the present administration for the amount of attentions given to their profession.
A public school teacher with a basic salary of P19,077 awaits the following perks: a minimum of P5,000 in Performance-Based Bonus (PBB); a year-end bonus worth P19,077; P5,000 in cash gift and another P5,000 as productivity enhancement incentive (PEI), according to TDC chair Benjo Basas.
Some public school teachers could even receive the maximum amount of blessings, once they stand to receive the maximum amount of P35,000 in PBB. The maximum amount of bonuses could reach up to P64,077.
According to TBC, the PBB, year-end bonus and cash gift will be released this month while the PEI will be given in December. The amount of incentives, cash gifts and bonuses are unprecedented this year as noted by TDC chair Benjo Basas.
