Pres. Rody Duterte Receives Red Carpet Welcome in China (Photos & Videos)


The beloved President of the Republic of the Philippines arrived in the People's Republic of China for his scheduled four-day visit and he was warmly welcome with a red carpet treatment from our neighbor which is considered as one of the world's biggest economies.



President Rody Duterte, the first Philippine President from Mindanao was greeted at the Beijing Capital International Airport by Chinese officials headed by Chinese Ambassador Zhao Juanhua.

The Philippine President arrived in Beijing, China on Tuesday night, October 18 flying on a chartered plane with flight number PR001. The plane landed at the Beijing Airport at around 8:07 PM on Tuesday. It left Brunei around 5 hours ago on his official state visit to the neighboring country.

Pres. Duterte became the 7th Philippine President to visit China since diplomatic relations between the two countries were established during the year 1975.

Accompanying the President is a large government delegation composed of Cabinet Secretaries and lawmakers as well as members of the business communities who are eager to help the China and the Philippines in any business aspects.

Some sources also noted that Pres. Duterte on his visit to China will start the discussion to a joint exploration in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) with China. Although reports already circulated on various news outlets, the camp of the President is not yet confirming the issue.

President Duterte would meet hundreds of Chinese Officials and Businessmen to boost the relations of China and Philippines, it also expected that this visit would boost the economy of the Philippines.
