Aiko Melendez Slams Sen. Leila De Lima on Her Obligation to Face the Filipino People


Veteran actress Aiko Melendez, one of the Duterte supporters during the campaign period slammed Sen. Leila De Lima on her official Facebook page for not facing her obligation as a public servant and for showing her weakness on the middle of the controversy against her.


The 40-year-old Aiko Melendez believes that the Filipino people has a high respect t women especially in the world of politics. According to Aiko as a women politician, Sen. De Lima must be brave to face all the accusations against her.

Aiko Melendez, a former councilor of Quezon City said on her Facebook post that Sen. De Lima must face all the accusations labelled against her and she should be careful particularly in using her gender as her sole card against her attackers.

The actress-turned-politician also questioned the Senator on her absence at the House of Representatives on their Inquiry on Proliferation of Illegal Drugs inside the National Bilibid Prison during her term as Justice Secretary.

Melendez noted that the senator disrespected the Philippine Congress for not participating on their investigation. She also urged the senator to stop crying for harassment but defend herself in front of the people who voted for her during the national elections.

The actress also slammed her colleague in the showbiz industry who recently asked Pres. Rody Duterte to resign because he asked for another six months extension to suppress drugs and criminality in the country.

According to Aiko, the President's promise during the campaign period stated that he would resign if he didn't do anything for six months of office as President.
