Some of the major plans under the Duterte administration to ease the traffic includes the construction of Cable Cars, building modular bridges, implementing the Bus Rapid Transport and allowing companies to operate double decker bus in different parts of Metro Manila.
The project proposals on ending the worsening traffic problems in Metro Manila was presented by the Department to Transportation to the Senate in aid to request an Emergency Power for President Rody Duterte.
Aside from the project proposals prepared by the Transportation Department, Sec. Arthur Tugade also said that the Philippines needs a 30-year road map. Based on their study the country needs a government plan that is legislated, so that traffic experienced in EDSA will not spread in other cities in the country.
The traffic situation of Metro Manila is actually happening slowly in Cebu City. For the record, the Transportation Department revealed that a total of 27 bus terminals were all located in Cubao, and 14 bus terminals in Pasay City.
In Every 2 minutes there is a bus that goes in and out of the terminal. This actually contributes too much traffic in EDSA and transferring them to a strategic location will definitely ease traffic.
Included in the plans of the Transportation Department is to relocate their main officer to Clark Pampanga.
What do you think of these plans by the Transport Department? Are you willing to support the Duterte administration or not? Just add your comments in the space provided below and don't forget to Like and Share this post with your friends on social media.
