The controversial photo was already shared several times on various Facebook Pages managed by Filipinos, the photo showed the highlighted names of Mar Roxas and Leni Robredo in the ballot. One of the photo caught the attention of Mayor Duterte's social media campaign manager, Peter Tiu Lavina. He sounded alarm by what he saw and posted the following statement on his official social media account.

We have been receiving reports from abroad, both encouraging and worrying: In Japan and in Kuwait, OFWs complained of highlighted names of Mar and Leni in the ballots; In London, names of OFWs were missing; In Singapore, our kababayans reported that there were no serial numbers in their voter receipts.
The viral photo of the controversial highlighted ballots caught the attentions of the Commission on Elections. According to James Jimenez, the Comelec spokesperson, he don't know where the highlighted ballot came from and definitely not from Comelec. There is also no proof of authenticity, and could be a digital fake.
