Duterte's Camp Sees the Mayor Will Secure Survey Lead by April 2016


Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is slowly gaining grounds in terms of national survey for the presidential elections, the camp of the Davao City Mayor is confident enought that Mayor Duterte wll be able to secure the lead in survesy by the month of April after trailing against his rivals particularly Sen. Grace Poe and VP Binay.



In a statement released to the media by the political strategist in the Duterte camp, Lito Banayo, he predicted that with Mayor Duterte's surging poll numbers, he will be able to outrun his rivals by last week of March to April.

Lito Banayo was quoted as saying "Duterte remains competitive and is now in a statistical tie with the other presidential candidates. So, it’s anybody’s game at his point,” Banayo said.

According to Lito Banayo despite the limited resources of Mayor Rody Duterte, he was able to wage a nationwide campaign "Our campaign reaches out directly to the people. We have no other big parties or traditional politicians supporting or endorsing us. But our survey numbers are rising. We will see by the end of this month or by the first week of April if Duterte will be the presidential frontrunner,” he added.

Based upon the latest Laylo survey which was released on Monday, Mayor Duterte already overtook then presidential frontrunner Vice President Jejomar Binay for second place at 24 percent. He is also inching closer to the current frontrunner Sen. Grace Poe whose rating also slid rom last month's 29 percent to 26 percent with a huge portion of the numbers now given to Mayor Duterte.
