The tough-talking mayor of Davao City, presidential candidate Mayor Rodrigo Duterte became the hottest topic on social media after an edited photos of himself went viral with a caption that reads he don't need the Catholic voters on his bid to become the next president of Philippines.




The viral photo of Mayor Duterte became the subject of netizen's various comments on Facebook. The photo's statement was indeed controversial because the mayor was quoted as saying "Hindi Ko Kailangan Ang Boto ng mga Katoliko - Duterte."

Supporters of Mayor Duterte were enraged with the said meme and defended Mayor Duterte on various Facebook Pages but on the Facebook page of the other presidential candidates, the statement and viral photo became a hot topic for various jokes.

The viral photo first appared on the Facebook Page "Daang Matuwid Ni Mar Roxas," it was first posted by Facebook user Wowa Villegas but there is no clear indication whether the uploader was also the one who edited the photo.
