Finally the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines ranked No. 1 in the latest results of the top ad spenders in the country. VP Leni ranked No.1 as top Facebook ad spenders in the Philippines, finally defeating survey leader Sen. Bongbong Marcos for the first time in terms of ranking.

Based upon the latest news article posted by the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalist (PCIJ), VP Leni Robredo topped ad spending on Facebook among all candidates.

Records showed that the opposition bet VP Leni, spent P14.1 million on Facebook from August 4, 2020, when the transparency tool was activated, until December 31, 2021. This is based on the review of the social media platform's Ad Library.

PCIJ also revealed that the P14.1 million spending of VP Leni on Facebook alone represented a mere 12% of her total spending on ads in traditional media from January to September 2021 which amounted to P120 million.

In comparison to the leading presidential bet, Sen. Bongbong Marcos, the camp of BBM has not recorded any ad spending on Facebook so far since his declaration to run for the highest position in the country.

Sen. Bongbong Marcos relies heavily on volunteers and supporters who keeps on spreading the good news about his plans for the future of the country and his focus on his platforms and to continue whatever projects Duterte put in place.

PCIJ also reported that aside from VP Leni Robredo as the top Facebook Ad Spender in the Philippines, Senatorial bet Sherwin Gatchalian ranked second with P8.59 Million, Ping Lacson with P5.36 Million, Loren Legarda with P4.79 Million, Leila de Lima with P2.08 Million, Kiko Pangilinan P2.07 Million, Migz Villafuerte P1.34 Milion, Lito Atienza P1.27 Million, Gibo Teodoro P1.17 Million and LRay Villafuerte with P1.17 Million.
