Jay Sonza Slams Sen. Binay "Sayang Akala Ko Sa Tagal Mo sa Gobyerno, May Natutunan ka na."

Veteran broadcast journalist and political analyst Jay Sonza slammed Sen. Nancy Binay for her latest statement against the President of the Republic who made a comment earlier regarding the job of the Vice President.

Pres. Duterte earlier stated that if he will become Vice President in 2022, he will try to audit the Commission on Audit (COA).

According to some analyst the President as a veteran prosecution lawyer knows the real job of the Vice President but despite his knowledge he just taunted his opponents if they will come out and air their dismay on his statement.

Pres. Duterte on his latest rant against COA, said he wonders who looks into the finances of the agency.

"Sinong nag-o-audit ng COA? May I ask that question?... Somebody should do it. I will do that if I become Vice President. Ako na lang din ang mag-audit sa lahat ng gobyerno. Lahat, Pati 'yung sa akin. Mag-umpisa ako sa akin," Pres. Duterte stated.

Due to the recent statement of the President his critics started to come out and shared their opinions regarding the latest statement of the country's highest public official.

Sen. Nancy Binay is one of the most vocal critics of the President who could not control her emotions as she aired her statement against the statement of the President.

According to Sen. Binay, the country's Vice President has no auditing powers, as she was quoted as saying.

"Coming from my experience as the daughter of a former vice president, I don’t think function ng vice president [ang mag-audit.] Hindi kasama sa powers and function ng vice president ang mag-audit (The vice president has no power and function to audit)," the senator said.

"That power was given specifically to COA kaya kahit vice president na siya (that’s why even if he is already vice president) I don’t think he can do that," she added.

Due to the statement of Sen. Nancy Binay, veteran broadcaster Jay Sonza asked the public, albeit in a sarcastic tone, to show patience to Binay because her brain can only go as far as this when it comes to interpreting and understanding the laws of the country.

Jay Sonza even advised Sen. Binay to talk to her father, perhaps she can learn a thing or two from the former Cabinet Secretary.

The journalist and political analyst remarked that he was dissapointed that Sen. Binay, who has been in government service as a lawmaker for quite sometime thought that she has learned a lot from experience but obviously did not.
