Mayor Sara Duterte Burns VP Leni for her Remarks on COVID-19 Surge in Davao City

Presidential daughter and veteran local chief executive of Davao City, Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio burned down Vice President Leni Robredo for her unsolicited advice given to the Davao City Mayor for her remarks on COVID-19 surge in Davao City.

Mayor Sara Duterte could no longer control her emotions and cannot just let slide VP Leni Robredo's attempt to gain a little media mileage by taking a jab at the latest COVID-19 surge in Davao City.

VP Leni Robredo, as usual made some headlines in the mainstream media, and in case you missed it, VP Leni commented that the Davao City Mayor must learn from Cebu City on COVID-19 containment through private partnerships and active presence of the medical community.

The controversial Vice President on Sunday, told the Davao City government to look at how Cebu City successfully controlled the surge of COVID-19 infections through private partnerships and the active presence of the medical community.

Due the statement of VP Leni which was carried out and simultenously broadcasted among major news outlets in the country, Mayor Inday Sara Duterte responded and burned down the Vice President on social media, which is considered as the bailwick fo the Duterte administration.

Mayor Sara Duterte answered via former Inquirer reporter Jefry Tupas and currently Davao City's OIC on Public Information and read:

"Statement by Mayor Inday Sara Duterte

The Vice President should refrain from giving advice if she knows nothing about what is happening on the ground. This has been the hallmark of her term as VP, where she puts forth comments on matters and affairs she lacks understanding and knowledge on and does not offer anything helpful to solve a problem.

The private sector has been very helpful and has tremendously contributed to the Covid-19 response in Davao City. In addition, the VP should not attack the medical community of Davao City as being inactive when they have been silently suffering and working tirelessly to help save lives since March of last year.

She should open her eyes to the surge of cases in localities all around the world and the might be able to say that a surge in cases where 85% of the cases are asymptomatic is primarily identified by aggressive testing, coupled with tracing and isolation/quarantining.

The VP should avoid involving the Covid-19 surge in Davao City in her attempt at politicking. There will be a proper time to attack my performance as an LCE in this pandemic if she dares to run for President."

Netizens also joined the prey and bombarded VP Leni Robredo for her unsolicited advice towards the popular local chief executive of Davao City, which is now considered as the most popular Presidential candidate in the highly anticipated 2022 national elections.

Here's Some of the Comments from Netizens:

Aisah Ashria: Statement from my friend who is from Cebu. Leni should stop saying things that make her look even more stupid. Ooppps

Girlie Ibarra: Yung last statement eh parang tatakbo nga mayor namin. I mean why would she say "attack my performance ....... If she dares to run for President".

Is this some sort of clue? Aaaaiiii gikilig ko. Humanda ka Leni.

Levoy Pabatao: Very well said... sumbagon kang Mayor tulog gyud ka!

Isabel Navarro: Andam na sa popcorn! Boy bawang! Chiz curls! Chippy! Tabang mga langit, akong kidney ani!

Jun Mea Ano: "There will be a proper time to attack my performance as an LCE in this pandemic if she dares to run for President" - Mayor Sara.

Yours well noted with thanks.

Mary Katherine: Sauce Medeme. Ang cebu murag wlai covid if not for the masks. Before you compare check how may locals were tested in Cebu vs Davao. You know nothing Medeme. Shut thy mouth.
