Veteran lawyer and prominent supporter of Pres. Rody Duterte slams former Senator JV Ejercito for his latest statement praising VP Leni Robredo's alleged helping activities during the pandemic.
According to former Senator Ejercito, the Vice President is considered as one of the busiest people during the pandemic.
Despite the meager budget of the Vice President's Office, Ejercito said Robredo was able to enlist her friends and people to do their share to help.
Ejercito tweeted "VP Leni Robredo may not be may partyymate but we have to give credit due, she has been one of the busiest in helping people during the Pandemic. Give the meager resources of the OVP, she was able to ask friends & people to do their share to help."
The statement of JV Ejercito caught the attentions of Atty. Nick Mangit who cited three reasons why he disagrees with ex-Senator JV Ejercito's statement that Robredo needs to be commended for her work during the pandemic.
According to the veteran lawyer, doing charity is not part of VP Leni's description as Vice President because her job is to wait, the spare tire of the President. Likewise, criticizing the President and the government is not part of her job description either.
Atty. Nangit also noted that there are many private individuals pitching in to help during the pandemic. Hence, VP Leni's charity work is no different or that merited her to be treated like a saint, that people should thank her for the measly aid she extended and besides the funds are from donors and not from her own pocket.
