Netizens and Duterte supporters took to social media and shared their reactions on the controversial statement released by Vice Pres. Leni Robredo regarding the possible operation against Otso Diretso.
In a statement released to the media VP Leni Robredo said that the drop in numbers of Otso Diretso's higher ranking candidates in the latest Pulse Asia survey showed that the "operation" was working.
VP Leni was quoted as saying "Yung anim naman better yung numbers. Yung dalawa lang, talagang to a certain extent, nagwo-work yung operation sa kanilang hindi sila makapasok sa 12," Robredo said. "Talagang merong operasyon na hindi sila makapasok sa 12," she added.
The statement of VP Leni Robredo caught the attention of Atty. Darwin Cañete who reacted to the statement by saying "Frankly, I thought Mar Roxas, not being with the rest of the seven, would clearly show he is willing to work with the President if elected. So he has an honest shot because he was not blindly attacking the government, even sounding supportive. In my analysis, the downtrend started when Leni started to endorse him."
Atty. Trixie Cruz Angeles and Ahmed Paglinawan also reacted with the statement of VP Leni by posting the following statement on social media:
"Naks naman. Kailangan syempre kasalanan ng ibang tao yung pagbagsak nila sa surveys. Di yata nila kayang tanggaping na ayaw na sa kanila ng mga botante. So, ano na, Madame? Kasalanan na naman ng most popular president, everrrr?"
