Spox Harry Roque: Pres. Duterte to Allow Third Telco Player to enter Philippine Market

Newly-appointed Presidential spokesperson and former Akbayan Partylist Rep. Harry Roque revealed to the media that Pres. Rody Duterte will now sign a new telecommunications provider to level up the signal, service, and speed of the interne connection in the Philippines.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque revealed that Pres. Duterte was aware that the telecom companies PLDT, SMART and GLOBE services are currently have no good services that's why there's really a need for a third service provider for more efficient internet connections for all Filipinos nationwide.

Sec. Harry Roque also admitted that he himself had been a victim of the slow service provided by the duopoly telecom provider. He had difficulty getting the signal and if he answered he could not understood or heard on the phone.

Although the Secretary revealed the entry of a new player in the telecom industry, he did not specify which company will enter the country to become the third player in telecom provider for Filipinos.

Pres. Duterte welcomed last week one of the world's most prominent internet businessman Jack Ma whose business is in telecommunications and said that the internet was very slow in the Philippines.
