There are numerous calls on social media that the popular cop who is now known in social media as the “drug buster cop” will be assign to Iloilo City, and Daan Bantayan in Cebu Province.
Iloilo City Mayor Jed Mabilog is one of the City Mayor named by Pres. Rody Duterte on his narco-politicians list. He is also the cousin of powerful Liberal Party member, Sen. Franklin Drilon. Aside from Iloilo City, PCI Espenido was also urged by some netizens to be assigned to Daan Bantayan which is now headed by former General Loot, one of the alleged narco-generals.
Police Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido already made a name for himself even before the advent of Pres. Duterte as the country’s chief executive but there are numerous reports that his promotions were allegedly barred by former DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo.
Espenido was also responsible for the capture of the notorious Albuerra, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. who suffered his untimely death inside the Baybay Provincial Jail during an operation of the Regional CIDG Group headed by Supt. Marvin Marcos.
