Military Neurosurgeon Major Abdul-Aziz D. Ontok Trends on Social Media for Helping Wounded Soldiers in Marawi


A military neusurgeon helping the wounded soldiers in Marawi City as their Medic is now doing the rounds on social media as he went viral after photos of the said military neurosurgeon spreads like wildfire on social media. The said military neurosurgeon was identified as Major Abdul-Aziz D. Ontok.


Major Abdul-Aziz D. Ontok is a 31-year-old native from Zamboanga City in Mindanao. During his school days, Major Ontok was a valedictorian on his pre-med and med proper education at Mindanao State University (MSU).

After Major Ontok successfully passed the Physician Licensure Examination, he decided to join the Armed Forces of the Philippines.


The viral military neusurgeon also served as an instructor at Tactical Combat Casualty Care of the Philippine Army.

Major Ontok revealed during an interview with some local media from Mindanao that he is not new with the deadly war because he has grown in Mindanao and was already used to the never-ending fighting between fellow Filipinos.


The viral neurosurgeon also noted on his interview with some local media that his parents wanted him to be a doctor because all of his siblings were certified physician.

Dr. Ontok admitted also that he considered himself as a "black sheep" of their family because during his school days he entered into various groups such as fraternities and having some vices and also fond of playing DOTA during college but when he became a full-pledge physician he decided to continue his dream of becoming a soldier and his dream was fulfilled by helping the wounded soldiers of Marawi City battles.
