The tough-talking President of the Republic of the Philippines, Pres. Rody Duterte wants to get bakc the controversial Mile Long Property, which was leased to a real estate developer in Makati or else he will let the people to occupy the area.


During a press conference upon the arrival of Pres. Duterte he launched fresh tirades at the Prieto and Rufino families, owner of Sunvar Realty Development Corporation and Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Pres. Duterte was quoted as saying "Hanggang ngayon, ang income ng establishments diyan, ang nakakakubra si Prieto, may-ari ng Donut. Do not steal the property of government. Akala ninyo kayo lang marunong eh p--ina ninyo - pati kayo magnanakaw. So do not tell us what to do ... That is corruption of the highest order, Pres. Duterte said.


Sunvar developed the 2.9 hectare lot called Mile Long Property in Makati City, which Pres. Duterte plans to sell and use the proceeds to fund government housing projects.

Pres. Duterte also warned the developers to return the land to the national government or he would let the people occupy the controversial property that earned millions of pesos but paid the government just a minimal amount.

The former Mayor of Davao City, Pres. Duterte added further that "Isauli ninyo iyang property. Otherwise, I would tell the Filipino people, go there and occupy your property," Pres. Duterte stated.
