Former DILG Secretary Brilliant Suggestions to Fight Extremism in the Philippines

Former senatorial candidate and former Interior and Local Government Secretary Rafael "Raffy" Alunan made brilliant suggestions on his official Facebook Page on how the national government should fight extremism in the country after the Maute and Abu Sayyaf group wreak havoc in Marawi City.

According to Raffy Alunan, his two suggestions includes releasing the controversial retired army general and anti-communist activist Gen. Jovito Palparan from government custody.

He also suggests that the Duterte administration should activate the Reserves and add more CAFGUs and SCAAs drawn from warrior tribes and legendary ethnicities to augment the AFP-PNP-PCG in the air, land and sea.

The former DILG Secretary Raffy Alunan also noted that if the government is willing to accommodate the NPA, MNLF and MILF to fight extremism, the more reason it should rely on its own combat and non-combat assets first.

Here's the Complete Suggestions of Sir Raffy Alunan:

May I make 2 suggestions?

Release Gen Jovito Palparan. If the government is willing to accommodate the NPA, MNLF and MILF to fight extremism (ironic!), then it should release its own warriors from custody for doing their jobs as instructed.

Fair is fair.

Also, activate the Reserves and add more CAFGUs and SCAAs drawn from warrior tribes and legendary ethnicities to augment the AFP-PNP-PCG in the air, land and sea. If the gov't is willing to accommodate the NPA, MNLF and MILF to fight extremism, the more reason it should rely on its own combat and non-combat assets first.

Common sense is common sense.
Those monitoring these suggestions are requested to elevate it to the highest levels soonest possible.
