Pres. Rody Duterte Won the 2017 Time 100 Online Poll


The tough-talking President of the Republic of the Philippines, Pres. Rody Duterte dominate and won the 2017 TIME 100 Poll after he consistently ranked as the leading candidates for the elite list of Most Influential People in the World.



According to Time Magazine, Pres. Rody Duterte received 5% of the total "Yes" Votes in the poll, which closed on Sunday night.

Aside from Pres. Duterte who dominated the list, closely following him in the TIME 100 Poll were Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Pope Francis, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg — all of whom received 3% of the total "yes" votes.


During the year 2016 US Senator Bernie Sanders won the reader poll in 2016 while the popular Russian President Vladimir Putin too the lead in 2015.

Netizens were quick to react with the recent achievement of Pres. Rody Duterte, considered as the very first from a Filipino leader who was recognized worldwide in an online poll.

Supporters of Pres. Duterte took to social media and shared their achievements after a Filipino leader was recognized in the world stage.

Despite the achievements of Pres. Duterte, Time writers failed to write an impressive statements on Duterte's victory as they emphasized the Filipino's deadly war on drugs although the truth is that the President was responsible for the surrender of more than a million drug dependents.
