Bridge Connecting NAIA Terminal 3 to Newport City Launched by AGI


Secretary Mark Villar of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and National Economic Development Authority chief Ernesto Pernia attended the launching of the Bridge connecting NAIA Terminal 3 to Newport City.


Alliance Global Group Inc. (AGI), the financier of he P1.5 billion Runway Manila led the grand launch of the pedestrian bridge that is seen to ease trafic in Metro Manila.

The bridge connecting NAIA Terminal 3 to Newport City dubbed as Runway Manila was launched by the private sectors in coordination with some government officials from NEDA and the DPWH.

According to Alliance Global Group Inc. (AGI) chairman Andre Tan, "Runway Manila" is a significant milestone for tourism as travelers may enjoy a safer and more pleasant experience upon leaving the NAIA Terminal 3.

Sec. Villar of the DPWH also agreed that the project has a big impact on the country's economy and business.

The pedestrian bridge is considered as the first of its kind in the Philippines, according to AGI President Kingson Sian.

He was quoted as saying "[That] is our gift to the Filipino people and increasing number of tourists who come to visit our beautiful country," Sian said.
