Sec. Michael Dino Visits Housing Sites for Yolanda Victims in Medellin, Daanbantayan & Bantayan Island (Video)


Secretary Michael Dino of the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV) visited the housing sites for Yolanda victims outside of Tacloban, particularly in the municipalities north of Cebu namely Medellin, Daanbantayan and the island of Bantayan.


In the latest video posted by OPAV, Sec. Michael Dino was seen visiting the housing projects in Medellin, Daan Bantayan and the island Bantayan which is composed of the municipalities of Bantayan, Sta. Fe and Madridejos.

Sec. Dino and the entire group of OPAV continued with their work mode mentality as they inspected the housing units to make sure that all the necessary necessities and equipment needed by residents are all taken care of.

The entire team of OPAV was escorted by the Philippine Air Force from their camp in Mactan island on their visit to the municipalities in Northern Cebu.

In Bantayan Island, Sec. Dino met with the municipal officials headed by Bantayan Mayor Art Despi. They visited the housing project in Bantayan town, according to NHA a total of 9,518 housing units were awarded to victims of Bagyong Yolanda in the entire island of Bantayan.

For the record, NHA revealed that a total of 3,520 were given to the residents of Bantayan; 3,693 for the Municipality of Madridejos (Lawis); and 2,305 housing units were assigned to the residents of the Municipality of Sta. Fe.
