Sec. Aguirre Reveals Ex-Senator Madrigal & Rep. Alonte-Naguiat Behind the P100-M Bribe for Bilibid Inmates


Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre of the Department of Justice revealed the names of politicians who were allegedly involved in the P100-Million bribe for Bilibid Inmates in exchange for withdrawing their statement against Sen. Leila De Lima who was earlier arrested by the CIDG and brought to Camp Crame for booking procedures.

The DOJ Secretary revealed the names of the person allegedly tried to bribe the Bilibid inmates who earlier testified against Sen. De Lima. According to Sec. Aguirre, former senator Jamby Madrigal and Congresswoman Marlyn "Len" Alonte-Naguiat behind the alleged P100-M bribe for Bilibid inmates.
During an interview with Sec. Aguirre, he revealed that the inmates must retract their statements before the EDSA anniversary this coming February 25, 2017. Sec. Aguirre also noted that although the inmates were offered cash they refused the offer.

The DOJ Secretary was quoted as saying "Inalok po nila yung walong iyan (na nag-witness against De Lima) for P100 million basta gawin nila yung pagbawi, yung retraction ng mga salaysay nila laban kay De Lima before bukas February 25 which is the EDSA anniversary," Aguirre said in an interview on DZMM.

High Profile Bilibid Inmates
Aside from former Senator Madrigal and Rep. Alonte-Naguiat, a certain lawyer identified as Atty. Alvin Herrera was also involved in the alleged bribery issue of Bilibid inmates.

Sec. Aguirre also revealed that the three personalities also promised to the inmates that once their planned EDSA Rally succeed the inmates will be released freely in exchange for withdrawing their statement against De Lima.

Sen. Leila De Lima already released her response to Sec. Aguirre as she challenged the DOJ Secretary to prove his newest accusations. Both former Senator Madrigal and Rep. Alonte were members of Liberal Party where Sen. De Lima belongs. Rep. Alonte is now a member of PDP-Laban of Pres. Rody Duterte but run under the Liberal Party.

Former PAGCOR Chairman Naguiat & Former Pres. Aquino
Rep. Alonte-Naguiat's husband is one of the relative of former PAGCOR Chairman Cristino Naguiat Jr., during the administration of former Pres. Aquino and is now facing Plunder charges for P3.21-billion, 15-year lease of space of the former Army and Navy club on Roxas Blvd., Manila.
