During the discussions some students wanted to showcase their debates experience and got the ire of the DENR Secretary for attempting to interrupt her while the secretary was answering the questions.

A student asked "According po sa law ma'am there is a separation ng agricultural land and mineral land. Is that an ecotourism land?" Sec. Lopez wanted to answer the questions but the students keeps on shouting "Answer the question po ma'am, is that a mineral land?"

Sec. Lopez than asked the group to allow her to talk. "You're gonna ask me questions and I can't talk and when I'm talking you intervene. Now, is that fair? Let me talk," Lopez said.

One of the student protester even demanded the DENR to immediately provide a full copy of the audit report, which ordered 23 mining firms to cease operations.

Sec. Lopez was quoted as saying "Is that bastos or is that bastusan? What do you want me to do? Do you want me to bring a whole roomload of documents here for you to see? Why don't you go there and see it?" Lopez said.

Netizens reacted with the way the student protesters asked questions to DENR Sec. Lopez and the way they behave during the dialogue despite the fact that they were using the taxpayer's money while studying at the University of the Philippines (UP).

Here's Some of the Negative Reactions from Netizens about the Dialogue:

Give it up for Millennials! ladies and gentlemen.

now you have a person who really love the people and environment but this stupid students doesn't understand look the mountains the tress who had been destroyed and the people who directly suffered. students dont act like you know best.

ganyan ang mga estudyante, kala nila ay mrunong at maggaling n cla kya kung umakto na cla, prang cla na ang matatalino at maangas na.
