Sec. Andanar Refutes Claims of Inquirer Writer as the Largest Newspaper in the Philippines (Viral Video)


Presidential Communications Office Secretary Martin Andanar refutes claims of Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI) correspondent during a meeting with Filipino-Americans in California that Inquirer is the largest newspaper in the Philippines.


Sec. Martin Andanar was asked by the Inquirer reporter on his thoughts if the people today is still reading the inside pages of a newspaper where his column, Brew Point resides.

The Inquirer reporter stated Sec. Andanar still works as a columnist in a newspaper where his article placed inside pages so he knows that someone still reading it.

The former newscaster of TV5 and a veteran journalist Sec. Andanar told the Inquirer correspondent that on the internet, many people only read the headline and not the whole content of the news that sows confusion among news readers.

The PCO secretary also asked about the numbers of circulation of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the Inquirer correspondent responded by saying that she don't have the exact number but claims that Inquirer is the largest newspaper in the Philippines.

Sec. Andanar responded in a quite shocking revelation and told the correspondent as well the people inside the venue that Inquirer is not the largest newspaper but it is "Manila Bulletin" which has the largest circulations nationwide.

The unexpected response of Sec. Martin Andanar on the claims of the Inquirer reporter that they are the largest in the Philippines drew some laughter among Fil-Ams who attended the event.
