Pres. Duterte Fully Trusts Gen. Dela Rosa Despite Calls for Resignation


Pres. Rody Duterte showcased how he fully trust the capabilities of Gen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa as he confirmed to the media that the PNP Chief will stay as its head despite calls for resignation.



In an interview with GMA News, Pres. Duterte was quoted as saying "He stays there. Bato has my complete trust," Pres. Duterte stated in an interview before he attended the birthday celebration of Gen. Bato Dela Rosa at the PNP's national headquarters in Camp Crame.

For the past few days numerous detractors of Pres. Duterte and Gen. Bato Dela Rosa calls for the resignation of the PNP Chief after businessman Jee Ick Joo was killed inside Camp Crame.

One of the most prominent personality who made the call for Gen. Bato to resign is no other than Pres. Duterte's ally, House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.

In response for the numerous calls of resignation by the PNP Chief, Pres. Duterte noted that the PNP must identify all of the people behind the abduction and killing of the South Korean businessman which happened during the time when the world sets its focus to the Philippines because of the Miss Universe beauty pageant.

Gen. Bato Dela Rosa also revealed to the media that during his birthday celebration inside Camp Crame, he had offered the president his resignation as PNP Chief but the President completely trust him that he could solve the current issue involving the PNP.

The Chief Executive, Pres. Duterte rejected the resignation of Gen. Bato Dela Rosa and responded with "padayon" or "keep going."
