Yolanda Victims Arrives at their Permanent Homes in Tacloban (Photos & Video)


Yolanda victims in Tacloban City received one their greatest blessings a few days before Christmas as they arrived at their permanent homes after Pres. Duterte ordered to fast-track the construction of the Yolanda victims village.


Presidential Assistant to the Visayas, Sec. Michael Dino heads the delegations of public officials tasked by Pres. Duterte to oversee the transfer of Yolanda victims to their permanent homes on Monday, November 28, 2016.

In the official Facebook Page of Office of the Presidential Assistant to the Visayas, they announced that the cavalry has arrived with the Presidential Seal to show the victims that they are not forgotten that the government has "malasakit."

Trucks from the Philippine Army and Ceres buses carrying settlers from Barangay 88 arrived at the permanent relocation site at North Hill Arbours.

Sec. Michael Dino confirmed that basic necessities are now available and easily accessible particularly clean water and electricity. Although the entire village is still not done as units are still being built but the place is livable and safe.

The Office of the Presidential Assistant to the Visayas also noted on their Facebook that Ceres buses will be used by the residents in the area for free for a total of six months to be used as transport vehicle for students and workers.
