The P5-billion fund was turned-over by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) to the Office of the President on Monday as part of the agency's commitment to help the President's endeavor and fight against the drug menace.

During Pres. Duterte's speech at the inauguration in Nueva Ecija, he was quoted as saying "Maybe I can build another one, this time, somewhere in Visayas. But I'm sure because Pagcor turned over P5 billion last night," Duterte said.

The Mega Drug Rehab center inaugurated inside Camp Port Magsaysay in Nueva Ecija was funded by a generous Chinese businessman who once lived in Binondo, Manila but right now considered as one f the richest billionaire in China, Huang Rulun.

Chinese billionaire Huang Rulun donated P1.4 billion for the rehab center that can serve 10,000 patients. The Rehab Center occupies a land area of 11 hectares and has a total construction area of 60,000 square meters with 172 building units, making it the first large scale drug rehabilitation center in the country.
