Sen. Honasan Defended Sec. Tugade Who Became a Victim of Bias Media


During the past few days Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade after he was misquoted by an article posted in one of the leading news media outlet in the country, Inquirer. Sen. Honasan defended the Transportation Secretary after he was victimized by the alleged bias reporting of Inquirer.



In an official statement released through the official social media account of Sen. Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan, he noted that it is the burden of both mainstream and social media to give accurate data or they become unwitting purveyors of misinformation.

Transportation Secretary Art Tugade drew flak recently for allegedly saying that traffic is "JUST a state of mind." What the Duterte Cabinet members actually said verbatim was "A state of mind adds to the problem of traffic."

Sen. Honasan posted the following messages both on his official Facebook and Twitter account earlier this morning:

Sen. Gringo Honasan is a well-known ally of former Vice President Jejomar Binay but during the past few months, he was seen rallying in favor of Pres. Duterte on various programs of the administration.
