Although Atom Araullo already resigned from his post as news reporter of TV Patrol, ANC and Bandila, Atom will continue to host ABS-CBN's morning show "Umagang Kay Ganda" and late-night "Red Alert."

The former student activist during his university days at the University of the Philippines graduating with a degree in Applied Physics wanted to focus on something he worked really hard while working as a reporter.

Atom Araullo on his part chose to keep mum as to why he resigned from the Kapamilya Channel as news reporter.

Before Araullo's confirmed resignation from ABS-CBN, he expressed his strong opinion on issues regarding the burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

According to some sources online, the resignation of Atom Araullo from ABS-CBN as reporter was due to his statement on Facebook and he does not want to be coined as a "bias reporter," which could also affect the integrity of the news department.

Atom Araullo is also busy right now with his two books which will be release in the next few months.
