Talk 'N Text decided to replace inconsistent import Rodney Carney with former reinforcement Paul Harris

Talk 'N Text is having a good showing in the PLDT Home Telpad Governors’ Cup by racking up four wins in five outings.

But it seems that the Tropang Texters is not yet contented especially with the on-and-off performance of import Rodney Carney who is a legitimate NBA veteran.

That's why Talk 'N Text decided to bring back former import Paul Harris to replace the NBA veteran Carney, who lasted just one week with the team.
The 6'4 Syracuse standout propelled the Tropang Texters in capturing the 2011 PBA Commissioner’s Cup title following their 4-2 Finals mastery over Barangay Ginebra.
He will finally bring a consistent scoring punch for the veteran-laden Talk ‘N Text squad who had rely solely on its local crew in its three straight victories over a span of seven days.
The 27-year-old Harris owned PBA career averages of 24.9 points,11.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in a total of 32 games with the franchise.
Harris is coming off a stint with the SLUC Nancy Basket in the French League.
Talk N Text head coach Norman Black revealed that the teamdecided to let go of Carney because of his inconsistency after coming up with a second sub-par performance in three games.

The Tropang Texters immediately decided to replace Carney because they really need a consistent import who could jell with the team instantly considering how short the tournament is.
Carney, who was selected 16th overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2006 NBA Draft, averaged just 17.6 points and 3.6 rebounds during his three-game stint with Talk ‘N Text.
He came in to replace another NBA veteran in Othyus Jeffers, who could only play one game for Talk 'N Text after having problems with his contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves who did't gave him clearance to play in other leagues.
The 30-year-old former Philadelphia 76ers' scored just 12 points in what turned out to be his farewell game in Talk ‘N Text’s 102-91 win over Air21.
Harris arrived on Tuesday and is expected to join the team’s practice last Wednesday.
The returning PBA import will debut on Friday against the lackluster Globalport Batang Pier who has a 1-4 win-loss record.
Talk 'N Text is currently tied at first place with San Mig and Ginebra with identical 4-1 records.

We will see on Friday on what kind of dimension will Harris bring to the powerhouse Tropang Texters who will try to bounce back after finishing runner-up to Grand-Slam seeking San Mig Super Coffee Mixers in the Commissioner's Cup Finals.
