Atoy Co and Bogs Adornado will lead their teams in the PBA Legends Game


In the 2014 PBA All-Star, it is not only a showcase of current star players, there is also a place for PBA legends.

PBA legends Atoy Co and Bogs Adornado will lead their separate squads in another event in the league’s annual all-star showcase.


Greats Team

Co, the league Most Valuable Player for Crispa in 1979, will show the basketball fans that he still has some gas in his tank  as he will serve as the playing coach for the Greats Team.

He will have more PBA legends in his team including 1995 MVP and Air 21 assistant Vergel Meneses, Air 21 coach Franz Pumaren, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel assistant Freddie Abuda, GlobalPort assistant Johnedel Cardel, and television commentator Jason Webb to help his team.

They will be supported by current players current stars such as Rey Guevarra and Cliff Hodge of Meralco, Terrence Romeo of GlobalPort, Willie Miller of Barako Bull, and Jonas Villanueva of Air 21.

Stalwarts Team

Adornado, a three-time MVP winner, will also showcase his remaining skills to power the Stalwarts team to the victory.

He will be backstopped by former marquee names such as Alaska executive Dickie Bachmann, San Mig Coffee assistant coaches Jeffrey Cariaso and Richard del Rosario, and Ginebra legends Noli Locsin and Bal David.

Active players including Ronjay Buenafe of Barako Bull, Chris Tiu of Rain or Shine, Sol Mercado of San Miguel Beer, Mac Cardona of Air 21, and John Wilson of Meralco round out Adornado’s crew.

The All-Star Weekend will be held at Mall of Asia Arena from April 3 to 6.
