The Philippine Peso dipped into P44-level against the US dollar on Friday, June 21, 2013 which already weakened the already 17-month-low finish on Thursday.

The Philippine currency opened on Friday at P44 per dollar from its previous P43.80 closing on Thursday.

The effect came after the US Federal Reserve announced that it would reduce stimulus due to an improving US economy.

As a result of this, the Philippine Stock Exchange index on Friday lost 2.88% or 182.29 points to 6,144 as of 9:55 AM.
