Willie Revillame finally announced that he has already rendered his resignation to TV5 top honcho, Manny V. Pangilinan. The confirmation was also made by Willie during his show on Tuesday announcing that he did not renew his contract.
The announcement of Willie’s retirement from the show came after just a few days since his camp strongly denies the alleged decision of TV5 management to terminate his contract after he demanded a P90 million a month talent fee.
The host did not clarify the main reasons of his decision to leave TV5, he stated that he wanted to rest for a year after his show ends in October 2013.

He was quoted as saying that “Kailangan ko ng break kasi parang na-drain ako. Na burn-out. ako. Aanhin ko naman ang mga naipon ko kung magkakasakit naman ako dahil sa stress?” he stated.
TV5 have also released their official statement through its Head of Corporate Communications, Ms. Peachy V. Guioguio:
“We respect the decision of Mr. Willie Revillame to retire upon the expiry of his contract with TV5. We wish him well in his new pursuits.”
